The South County Family YMCA and VAYSA recreational soccer cooperative is final!! The programs will be managed by both groups and will provide a fun, safe and productive soccer experience. Registration begins January 18, 2010 through the YMCA. See the HOME page for registration details.
Board Meetings have been scheduled for all of 2010, and will be posted soon. We are looking for new Board Members and Board Members in waiting, so we have a smooth transition when some members of the current Board's terms expire. For information contact Mark Reese 941-539-1253.
Over the Christmas Break, some members of VAYSA got together and suprised a family with a minimal home makeover. We did some work on their house including a new heating and air conditioning system, remodeling both bathrooms, new carpet in the three bedrooms, new tile in the bathrooms and a hallway, new vanities, faucets, shower fixtures and wall board in the bathrooms, wallboarding the living room, new paint, a new 12' x 28' deck. Contributing to the renovation was Manasota Flooring (all the carpet and tile for the house), Tri-County Air (the whole house A/C and Heating system), Joy Builders (Labor, Wallboard, and much more), C & S Renovations (two toilets and Labor), SunCoast Audio/Hooper's Backflow (speakers, labor, and too much more to mention), the VAYSA u16 boys (Labor and monetary donations), Larry's Plumbing (Mario Fusco did all the plumbing repairs!!), Bobby Chin Flooring (installed all the carpet and tile), Rock's Remodeling (Jesse Rock built the deck with some help from his friends), A.J (Alex) Diaz Remodeling (helped anywhere he was needed), plus several Board Members put in many hours of labor to help a family get back on their feet. PROVING AGAIN WE ARE A CLUB THAT GIVES BACK!!

VAYSA is looking at adding a second 3v3 tournament to our current Shark's Tooth Festival, scheduled for April 17th & 18th. The second tournament will probably be 3v3 Live.
VAYSA secured the u11 end of season Tournament for the USA Competitive League. Games will be held at Garbrandt Soccer Complex on Febuary 6 & 7 and February 27th & 28th. A potential of 96 games in the two weekends.
VAYSA will be participating in Relay for Life again this year. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help fight cancer. Please contact Mandy Burdine if you are interested in helping collect donations and participate. 941-539-1898.

The Boys Scouts - thanks to Jim Savage - will be helping us provide wheel chair accessible sidewalks from the parking lot to The Lasorso Clubhouse. Plus they will be installing three flag poles, 1) US Flag 2) Florida State Flag 3) VAYSA Flag. This will add to our commitment to helping all people to attend games, and instill a sense of pride in our country, state and our soccer organization.

*Recreational Soccer dates set as Sept 19 – Nov 21st. Included in fees will be uniform shirt and socks, field and light fees, Referee fees, FYSA submission, medal at end for all, lunch on trophy day. Cost $90.00.
*Registration dates at VAYSA Soccer Complex will be as follows Aug. 14-15 from 6-8pm, and August 21-22 from 6-8pm.
