Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has labelled Eden Hazard as the perfect signing for Bayern Munich at this stage.
It is widely believed that the Bundesliga outfit are looking for a player who can also play on the wings. They will be the replacement for Ribery or Arjen Robben, who have been the mainstay on the wings for the last five years. Ribery has become very much a part of Bayern after moving to the club for around £ 25 million from Marseille seven years ago. He has called for his club to signHazard from Chelsea, but he also admits that it will be a very expensive proposition.
Hazard is regarded as one of the best wingers in the game and he is in the running for the PFA Player of the Year award this season. Despite being the winger, he has contributed 16 goals and has also assisted in eight. Ribery reckons thatHazard is at an age – 24 – where he will continue to improve and that Bayern should probably try their best to sign him. Chelsea boss José Mourinho placed a £ 100 million transfer fee on the prized asset. Bayern are also linked with former Chelsea winger Kevin De Bruyne, but Ribery reckons that he is not the man for the club.
“[De Bruyne] a super player, but when I see him I note that he’s different to Arjen and me.He’s not a player who takes the ball and starts dribbling, and likes to have the opponent in front of him. De Bruyne’s super when he has the space on the counter attack, but at Bayern you usually only have three, four metres — no huge spaces. [Hazard] attacks all of the time. He loves to run at his opponent. But he plays at Chelsea. This could be very expensive for Bayern,” said Ribery.
