RIBERY IS CONFIDENT

French winger Franck Ribery has said that he is extremely confident that Bayern Munich will be able to beat archrivals Borussia Dortmund in the final of the Champions League.

The two German teams will be facing against each other for the fourth time this season in one of the biggest matches in the season. The final will take place at Wembley and this will be the first time that a German team has lifted this competition after 2001. Bayern Munich were the last team from Germany to win the Champions League. The club has managed to lift four titles in their history, while their opponents Dortmund have won this competition once.

The 30-year-old winger has been one of the important players for the club in the run-up to the final. He is expected to be fit for the final. Ribery has been on the losing side in the Champions League final twice in the last three years. He has said that the defeat of the last two times is hurting him extremely and he wants to avenge those defeats by winning against Dortmund. This would be his first Champions League medal if he manages to get Bayern Munich to victory.

In the final season for the Bayern Munich manager, the team would be hoping to send him off in the best way.
“We know Dortmund inside-out. If we’re all willing and ready to give our all than we’ll emerge victorious. It will be crucial not to put too much pressure on ourselves. I don’t know if we’ll ever make the Champions League final again, which is why we want to give it everything we got to finally hoist the trophy. Put simply, we are stronger. But Dortmund is a difficult side to play against. I was impressed with how they beat Real Madrid in the semis,” said Ribery.
