So far, this season has not been too good for Bayern Munich winger, Franck Ribery due to injuries affecting his career.
However, Ribery seems to have gotten a new breathe of fresh air away from injuries as he has made a return back into the first team to begin training last Thursday.
So far, the top winger has only made nine appearances for Bayern Munich due to the injuries that have besotted him from muscular problems to a persistent thigh injury. This had kept him out of games since after Bayern was defeated by Atletico Madrid during a Champions League game in late September where Atletico won by a lone goal.
Few times, Ribery had been almost close to featuring in one or two games for Carlo Ancelotti but had been held back by setbacks which thus hampered his progress. Bayern looks forward to hosting Hoffenheim on Saturday for a Bundesliga match in which the German giants remain hopeful that Ribery would take on an active role.
However, the same cannot be said for players, Thiago Alcantara and Douglas
“Two days before the top Bundesliga clash between Hoffenheim and Bayern Franck Ribery completed the squad programme for the first time after recovering from a thigh injury. Thiago and Douglas Costa took a breather on Thursday, pursuing individual programmes after warming up together,” a statement read.
Also, not quite long ago, the German giants had ensured to keep a few of their key players with them a while by extending their contracts for a couple of years. The new deal saw three key players, Arjen Robben, Robert Lewandowski and Franck Ribery agree to new deals to stay on at Allianz Arena.
Before this deal, the players were facing an exit at the end of the season which is when their contracts expire but with this, they get an extension till 2019.
