YEDLIN PROMISES MORE FOLLOWING PROMOTION TO PREMIER LEAGUE

Newcastle United star DeAndreYedlin has promised to deliver more goodies when the team plays in the Premier League next season.

He was impressive in the route to the Sky Bet Championship victory in his debut season at St James Park.

Yedlin, who joined the Magpies from Spurs last summer, said he is happy that the team was returning to the top flight. He was a loanee to the now relegated Sunderland side last season but he has quickly developed. He promises to deliver more as he feels he is better equipped to handle the Premier League.

“I think I’ve developed a lot. I think he’s the kind of coach that gets the best out of every player. He’s definitely getting the best out of me and there’s definitely more to come,” he promised.

Yedlin added that he was developing every day and acknowledged that he was far from being the finished product he hopes for. The United States native said he wants to remain with United going into next season.

He said he knew about the club growing up in the States, adding that it is “a great honour” to play for the club and in the Premier League now. He says he is looking forward to it as his family can watch him on television from next season as they would be better covered.

Skipper Jamaal Lascelles has said that lifting the title was a defining moment of his career. He was appointed captain after the exit of FabricioColoccini. He missed the final game against Barnsley as he was sidelined. Newcastle were the second favourites behind Brighton but they eventually won the league in the last day.
