Harry Kane has endured contrasting form at club level, while he has been scoring goals for fun in the colours of his country. He scored seven goals in two World Cup qualifiers for England earlier this month. However, he has struggled to impose himself in the Premier League this season and he has just one goal in 11 appearances to show for his troubles.

In his recent press conference as monitored by Football London, Conte praised Kane for his work rate in his short time as the Spurs manager. His work rate has been a valuable asset to the team despite his lack of goals as revealed by Italian tactician Conte.

Spurs boss Conte told reporters that scoring goals is important, but he’s satisfied with Harry Kane after his performances from the last two league games against Everton and Leeds United. Conte has only managed two games in the Premier League since his appointment at the start of the month. In the first game, hosts Everton and Spurs settled for a goalless draw. Conte managed to win his first Premier League game as the Spurs manager at the second time of asking against Leeds United. Conte watched on the sidelines as Tottenham Hotspur came from a goal down to beat Leeds United 2-1 at home. Leeds United took a first half lead through Welsh summer signing Daniel James, before Spurs scored twice in the second half to win the game. Sergio Reguilon and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg scored the goals for Spurs.

Conte would have taken charge of his third Premier League game as Tottenham Hotspur manager away to Burnley on Sunday if not for the postponement due to bad weather.
