Franck Ribery came back to action in style as he scored a couple of thunderous goals for his club Bayern Munich in a Champions League game against Victoria Plzen yesterday and helped his team win by a huge margin of 5-0.

Ribery hadn’t played for the Bundesliga Champions in their last game which was against Mainz.

This was Munich’s 3rd consecutive victory in the ongoing Champions League. Now, they are very close to make it to the next round.

Frank Ribery has been consistently one of the best players for Bayern Munich since arriving in a £ 25 million deal six years ago. The midfielder is on course to winning his first FIFA Ballon d’Or award after being named on the shortlist of three by UEFA.

This is one of the prestigious awards given to a footballer. Ribery managed to win three major titles last season including the Champions league and the Bundesliga title. Ribery was part of the Bayern Munich team that had lost in the final of the Champions league twice in three years before that.

Bayern Munich were extremely successful last season under the management of Jupp Heynckes using the formation of 4-2-3-1. This helped them make the most out of players like Frank Ribery, Thomas Müller, and Arjen Robben playing just behind the striker.

The arrival of former Barcelona manager Guardiola was expected to change things at the Allianz Arena. However, there was also a suggestion that Guardiola may not tinker too much with the system that has a reaped huge dividends in the last three years.

French winger Franck Ribery has said that he is extremely confident that Bayern Munich will be able to beat archrivals Borussia Dortmund in the final of the Champions League.

The Barcelona assistant manager Jordi Roura has said that the two goals scored with the Argentine striker Lionel Messi in the 4-0 win over AC Milan to silence the critics, who have been critical of him in recent weeks.
